PSHEE
At our school, PSHEE (Personal, Social, Health, Economic and Emotional Education) is central to supporting pupils’ personal development, wellbeing and preparation for life in modern Britain. We aim to equip all children with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to stay safe, healthy and happy, both now and in the future.
Through a carefully planned and progressive curriculum, we encourage pupils to develop positive relationships, respect themselves and others, celebrate diversity, and become responsible, active members of their community. We foster resilience, empathy, independence and emotional literacy, enabling children to recognise and manage their feelings, make informed choices and seek help when needed.
We use a range of high-quality resources, including Pol-Ed and KidSafe, to support the delivery of engaging, relevant and age-appropriate lessons. These resources help pupils develop an understanding of personal safety, healthy relationships, well-being, rights and responsibilities, and how to respond confidently to challenges they may encounter both online and offline.
Our intention is that every child leaves our school as a compassionate, respectful and resilient individual, equipped with the knowledge and skills to make a positive contribution to society and to thrive as they move on to the next stage of their education.
